๐ World Humanitarian Day ๐๏ธ โ A Day to Remember
Every year on 19 August, the world comes together to observe World Humanitarian Day. This day honors the courage and sacrifice of humanitarian workers who dedicate their lives to saving others in times of crisis, difficulties. It also reminds us of the millions of people around the globe who face conflict, disaster, and hardship, sacrifice every single day.
The United Nations established this day in memory of the 2003 attack on the UN headquarters in Baghdad, where 22 humanitarian staff members lost their lives. Since then, it has become a symbol of resilience, solidarity, and compassion.
