Mirai : Film Review : Teja Sajja found the trick to make his film a hit?
Mirai : Film Review : “The world that has not seen me has faith in me, even the mother who is not with me has faith in me. Now I have to trust myself”. This is a dialogue of Teja Sajja and there was thunderous applause and whistles in the theatres.
This is the dialogue of the film Mirai. This film was released in theatres on Friday, 12 September 2025. Teja Sajja has become an expert in playing the roles of Indian superheroes. After the immense success of the film Hanuman, Teja Sajja is now showing his magic in the film Mirai. The film is made under film productions like People Media Factory, Dharma Productions, Hombale Films, Mythri Movies Makers. Anyway, this is a South Indian film, so there will be a lot worth watching in it. So let’s review this film.
Story
The story of the film is connected to the Kalinga war by Samrat Ashoka. In the Kalinga war, Emperor Ashoka suffers bloodshed due to terrible violence. After this, Emperor Ashoka distributes his nine divine powers among nine sacred texts. Like Marvel’s Infinity Stones. All these texts have different powers. If given to anyone, even a common man can become immortal. So Emperor Ashoka handed over eight of these nine texts to his trusted warriors, and gave the ninth text (Amar Granth) to the sages. In which the secret of immortality was hidden. So all of them protected these texts from generation to generation.
The villain of the story Mahabir Lama (Black Sword)
Now if such powerful texts exist, then a powerful person like Thanos will definitely come to take them away, so the villain of the story Mahabir Lama, who is known as Black Sword, comes to acquire them. His character is being played by Manchu Manoj. Mahavir Lama has immense powers and has come to acquire all these scriptures, out of which he succeeds in acquiring eight scriptures.
The hero of the story and his mother (Vedha and Ambika)
Now the ninth scripture is being protected by Ambika (Shriya Saran), she has the power to see the future, and she had sensed all the dangers beforehand and sacrificed her child Vedha to protect the ninth scripture. Ambika gives birth to Vedha and leaves him in a temple where an Aghori raises Vedha. 24 years later Vedha enters i.e. the hero of the story Teja Sajja, Vedha is a thief living in Hyderabad, where he does not know his real identity like every superhero. Later Vibha (Ritika Nayak), who is a disciple of the ashram, finds Vedha and tries to tell Vedha about her reality.
Battle between Vedha and Lama
In the film, Vedha recognizes his powers, after this, like all superhero films, you will get to see a fight between Vedha and Lama. In this battle, Vedha also gets the support of immortal sage Agastya (Jayaram Subramaniam), Tapaswini Vibha (Ritika Nayak) and Garuda Devta himself.
Film Review
In the story of the film, you get to see a mixer of Indian history, mythology and modern times. Where you see a superhero related to Indian mythology. Like Marvel’s mythological god Thor. Talking about the characters of the film, Teja Sajja fits perfectly for such a role. He has already proved this in the film Hanuman. The audience likes him after seeing his charming, his naughty style, his action. There is no doubt about his character! Talking about other characters, Shriya Saran also looks beautiful in the role of a mother. Manuch Manoj, Jayaram, and Ritika have also played their roles very well. The director of the film is Karthik Gattamneni, while covering stories in South Indian films, directors get into a lot of trouble. Firstly, they make these stories after a lot of research, the run time of their films is also long and the director gets into a lot of trouble by arranging all this. But Karthik has brought all the cast of the film, the story of the film on screen very well. Talking about the cinematography of the film, the camera elements, visual storytelling have been set well. The VFX seem a bit weak in a film made on a budget of 60 crores, but all this is covered and the difference is not that much noticeable. There are many wow moments in the film where the flight of Garuda, tremendous action scenes, and just like Lord Hanuman is shown in the end in the film Hanuman, a glimpse of Lord Ram will be seen in this film. The BGM of the film is also great. Which brings life to the film. Overall you can watch the film in theatres.
