Ek Chatur Naar : Film Review – Was Divya Khosla able to show some intelligence in this film?

Ek Chatur Naar : Film Review : Divya Khosla Kumar, she has a film “Ek Chatur Naar”, which is a Bollywood film and has been released now. Divya Khosla is appearing in many films these days. I never saw this trend after the song “Honey Honey” with Salman Khan, although she did a South film. But after marrying T-Series chairman Bhushan Kumar, she is appearing in films again after many years, that too mostly only in films under the T-Series banner.

Well, now her film “Ek Chatur Naar” has been released on 12 September, it remains to be seen how clever this film will be able to show at the box office. So let’s review this film.

Story

The film has been described as a black comedy thriller, but there is neither proper comedy nor any kind of thrill in it. Talking about the story, Divya Khosla Kumar is playing the role of a poor girl “Mamta Sharma”. Mamta lives in a small slum in Lucknow. She earns her living by doing small jobs.

There is a twist in the film when Mamta accidentally finds a phone. Whose phone is this? This phone belongs to a well-known businessman Abhishek Verma (Neil Nitin Mukesh). When Mamta sees the phone, she finds out a secret of Abhishek, after which she blackmails Abhishek and asks for two crore rupees. Then their game begins.

The name of the film is “Ek Chatur Naar”, so cleverness has to be shown in the film. How Mamta with her cleverness competes with a big man like Abhishek and extracts two crores from him, all this is shown in the film. But the story is very simple and straightforward, nothing special. Otherwise I would have written it myself, for this you will have to watch this film. But I could not write like this. Know why???

Review

Talking about the direction, it has been done by Umesh Shukla, which is average. A normal story, normal scene-shots, and nothing special has been given from the technical point of view. The budget of the film is about 10 to 15 crores, but the story and characters seem a bit cheap in it. Although the characters are millionaires in their personal lives, but on screen they look cheap characters. Well, there are characters like Sushant Singh, Yashpal Sharma in the film, but due to the story of the film, they are also seen struggling in the film.

An attempt has been made to show comedy in the film, where the characters will try to make you laugh but you will not laugh. In today’s era of Kapil Sharma comedy show, if Bollywood film makers show such cheap comedy, then you tell me how will you laugh??

The characters are seen struggling to do comedy, especially Divya. There is a dialogue in the film, “हर शहर में दो तरह की बस्ती होती है — एक नदी के किनारे, दूसरी नाले के पास। जो नदी वाले हैं उन्हें मौके मिलते हैं, जो नाले वाले हैं, मौके बनाते हैं। it means “There are two types of settlements in every city – one on the banks of the river, the other near the drain. Those who are from the river get opportunities, those who are from the drain, create opportunities.” This dialogue shows the social status of the film, but in this film Divya could not create any opportunity, and there is no such opportunity in the film which can surprise you. Well, if we talk about the music of the film, then this film is presented by Indian top music company T-Series. But even the songs of the film will not be able to touch you a bit. You search the name of this film in Google and see what comes up, this film will not come anywhere in the search result, but a most popular song will come, sung by Kishore Kumar “Ek Chatur Naar Badi Hoshiyaar, Mere Manke Dwar Ye Ghusat Jaye” Listen to this song, it is better than the songs of this film. If there is any fan of Divya khosla kumar in this world, then he can watch this film, the legendary audience of other films should not waste their time and money by watching this film in theaters.
