Baaghi 4 Review: Is Tiger Shroff’s Latest Worth the 5-Year Wait?
baaghi 4 : Fans of the Baaghi film series have had to wait a long time to see the fourth installment. While the first three parts were released every two years—Baaghi on April 29, 2016, Baaghi 2 on March 30, 2018, and Baaghi 3 on March 6, 2020—Baaghi 4 took a full five years, finally releasing on September 5, 2025. So, was the wait worth it? Let’s dive in and find out.
The Story: A Darker Turn for Ronnie
In this film, we see the return of our hero, Ronnie, played by Tiger Shroff. This time, the story takes a much darker turn. Ronnie survives a brutal train accident that he intentionally caused in a suicide attempt. Following the accident, he is consumed by grief and guilt, leaving him unable to distinguish between reality and hallucinations.
The real conflict begins when Ronnie becomes convinced that his girlfriend, Alisha (Harnaaz Sandhu), was also in the accident. However, everyone around him insists that she never existed. This sets him on a dangerous and violent journey to uncover the truth and find out the real reason behind this conspiracy.
Standout Performances: Tiger Shroff and Sanjay Dutt
As always, Tiger Shroff is in a different league when it comes to action. He seems to have elevated his skills even further, looking more like a kung fu master than ever before. His red, angry eyes and improved acting show a new intensity, making him a more compelling Ronnie.
The film’s strength lies in its villain, Sanjay Dutt, who plays the menacing Chacko. His style, appearance, and acting are fantastic. A powerful villain can make or break an action film, and Sanjay Dutt’s performance is a major highlight. You’ve seen him as a formidable foe to heroes like Rocky in KGF and Vijay in Agneepath. In Baaghi 4, the on-screen clash between Tiger’s Ronnie and Sanjay Dutt’s Chacko is a sight to behold.
Other Cast and Film Details
Baaghi 4 marks the Bollywood debut of Harnaaz Sandhu, who was crowned Miss Universe in 2021. Despite being trolled for her weight gain due to celiac disease, she delivers a decent performance in the film. Sonam Bajwa also makes an appearance, featuring in a special item song.
The movie, directed by South Indian director A. Harsha, is an unacknowledged remake of the 2013 Tamil film Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu. While remaking South Indian films is common in Bollywood, the writers—Rajat Arora and Sajid Nadiadwala (who is also the producer of the Baaghi series)—could have written a stronger story. The first half is a bit slow, but the pace picks up significantly after Sanjay Dutt’s entry in the second half. The film is packed with action, and the high-octane fight sequences are so engaging that they help distract from the weak storyline. The background music is great, though the songs are just average.
Final Verdict
Overall, if you’re a fan of the Baaghi series, this film is definitely worth watching once. Compared to the weaker second and third parts, Baaghi 4 is a much better-made film. The action is its strongest point, and the performances of Tiger Shroff and Sanjay Dutt make it an entertaining watch, even if the plot is a bit thin.
